Shri. Padma Lochan Behera, Executive Director, NABARD joined the Board of Directors of Nabcons with effect from 1 October 2008 in place of Shri. Rajaraman Balakrishnan. Shri.P.L.Behera is a post graduate in Science and a certified associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers and Finance. Joining Reserve Bank of India as a Grade"B" officer in the year 1974, he carries with him rich experience of 34 years of service in various capacities in Reserve Bank of India and NABARD like Principal of Regional Training College, In-charge of Regional Office and In-charge of various Departments of Head office. His specialization includes areas like Investment Credit, Watershed Development, Non Farm Sector, Rural Infrastructure Development and Human Resource Management

Shri. Madan Mohan, has taken charge as CEO and Director on the Board of Nabcons with effect from 10 October 2008 in place of Shri.S.M.Mehta. Shri.Madan Mohan has had brilliant academic career having completed his management education from top level institutes viz. Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) and Asian Institute of Management (AIM), Manila, Philippines. He is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers and Finance, Mumbai. He has rich experience, having served as an officer with a Commercial Bank, State Financial Corporation and 29 years of service in Reserve Bank and NABARD in various capacities like Principal of National Bank Staff Training College, In-charge of Regional Office and In-charge of various Departments at NABARD Corporate Office. He carries with him rich experience in Rural Banking, Development Finance, Training and Project Appraisal. He has been on roster of consultants of World Bank, UNDP, Asian Development Bank and Food and Agriculture Organisation.

Nabcons completes 5 years

Nabcons is entering its sixth year of operations on 17 November 2008. The journey travelled, so far, is quite encouraging and a niche market has been created in the field of consultancy in agriculture and rural development projects in India and abroad. Cumulatively Nabcons has contracted 900 assignments with a fee of 40 Crores.
